In Between Identities
I am no one to myself.
I’ve long since lost contact with who I was
Am barely on speaking terms with who I am
With no way to know who I will become.
It seems I’m in between identities.
I have a few people in my life
Who will tell me stories, memories they
Share with me across the table
Of who I was…
Cruel, compassionate, so sweet, and unfair.
But too naïve and always in too deep.
I have a few people in my life
Who observe my daily living, and
Drop hints through the grapevine
Of who I may be…
Lazy, lonely, so sincere, and accepting.
But too anxious, too nervous, with jumbled words and always hiding.

My name is Kailyn Grace. I'm 20 years old living in the United States. I used to consider myself an artist in high school but I'm far out of practice and don't know if I can be considered one anymore. I still write some. I've had this page for years but have used it very little. I will probably use this page to upload self portraits and poetry, perhaps the occasional drawing.
